Original bench seat adjustment spring and lever

Does any one have pics on how to put the spring back together on the original bench seat. When you pull the lever on the driver side to move the seat up it connects to something down there and I dont know what. I have the parts but dont have the before pics to put it back together again. Sorry for the dumb question. Thanks in advance.

You are the man! Thanks for the pics. Just one question what is the metal thing that connects the two medal rods in the first pic?

I'm not sure if were on the same page, but there's a cardboard tag attached to the seat bottom and another attached to the seat back with GM part #s. In the photo the seat bottom tag appears to be part of the rod assembly, it's simply laying there.

Re: Original bench seat adjustment spring and lever

I am doing my seat right now and I have everything except I did not find a spring. I am assuming that spring is to help the seat move one way or the other. Would it be an important part. The guy who sold me the seat took it right out of the truck he was driving.

The spring will help the assembly move back and forth, assuming your the only driver, you really don't adjust the seat that often.
