bought a dealy
i bought a new throttle barcket from jegs made by edelbrock. i have the cheapo chrome mr gasket one now that goes on the back crab bolt and it works like crap. this is what i ordered
buts that is not what it looks like at all. its the same pn but the one they send out is much cooler. its a real nice design and has like a black crinkle finish on it and really looks nothing like that one they show in the catologue. i'll get some pics when i put it on this weekend. i also got some dist gear shims so i can fix my timing, and looks like i'm buying a 12 bolt from a member that has either 3.42 or 3.73 gears in it so i will be cookin in no time

Was the mr. gasket braket giving you trouble? I cant seem to get my TV cable right, and am also using that checkers thing. The edelbrock backet looks the same though....

I need that rear end realy bad also. The stock 273's are kicking my butt. My truck is way to slow off the start, but after that it hauls ass. How much are you paying for that 12 bolt? Because after I paint my truck I'm gunna start looking for something!

I noticed a few 12 bolts in the U-Pull yards around here($90) but they won't let you bring torches in to get em' out. I think I'm gonna rent a cordless sawzall and get me one too! Nothing wrong with the corporate 10 bolt cause these trucks can't hook for $hî† anyway. But you gotta love just havin' that 12 bolt! One more thing...it seems like the limited slips are a little cheaper for the 12 bolt vs. the 10 bolt.

Ryan how does it work with the carb you have? I was wondering as well since I have the same problem you had on the flexing as well. Also let me know when you're swapping that rear out. If I'm off I'll head over and help you swap it out.

low c10 did you notice a pretty big difference when you changed your gears? ive been thinking about goin with 3.73 or 3.42 posi to replace my 2.73 's. its a 12 bolt by the way. i figure its a good performance mod that i can do before i get a new 350. am i right?
how much would i be lookin at roughly?? im not gonna put any money in the pos 305.
