Steering column removal
What all do I unbolt? I believe I have removed all that attaches it inside the truck. Its still hung up.

Engine compartment bracket has 3 bolts into the firewall and then of course the rag joint at the steering box.

I just stripped down a parts truck. I wish some one had explained that the column is one long piece. I kept trying to separate it at the lower firewall bearing(you will screw up the preload on the shaft if you mess with the clamp). I know its rookie tech but after midnight my brain went to mush.
Getting the column out is surprisingly easy after you unbolt the rag joint, the shield on the inner fender, the cover at the fire wall, and most importantly the wiring. Steve
