Re: titan steelies

so its taken me a couple of days because you really have to hone out the wheel where it goes over the hub. about half an inch. but i have two on right now. looks pretty good but the back rubs alittle bit. its an 8 inch wheel with 225/60r18 continentals on it. just barely rubs the inner part of the tire. would an adjustable track bar help this out or am i gonna have to buy spacers. i think i could probably get the bfh out and get it to fit but id like a better solution.

Did either of you guys end up having to run wheel spacers? Chizzler, love the truck. Do you have a build thread?

Just my personal opinion. So, take it for what it's worth (nothing)
66redw/white; no offense, but I like the dog dishes better than the Titans.
CHIZZLER; I definitely like the look of the Dodge 20's on your truck.

Re: titan steelies

yeah i go back and forth on it alot. the dog dishes make it look more hot rod. the titans have better tires on them though. ill probably ride it around with the titans on it for a while. then its gonna need a good goin through. well it already needs a good goin through but still.
chizzler is that over time patina or did you make it? the 20s look awsome. i assume you had to run adaptors?
65short. i didnt have to run any spacers but it probably could have used one on the back. then maybe i wouldnt have had to cut out the back fender. i did end up having to hone out the inside of the wheel to get it over the hub. wich sucked. i still have a wheel and a half to do. fml

Re: titan steelies

i tried to go for that look with mine. it used to all be the color of the roof. so i spray painted it orange and white and wet sanded through the 3+ different paint colors tryin to get it to look right. orange doesnt look good with green showing through it. your truck looks awsome man.

Re: titan steelies

Thanks alot.if you ever watch the show trucks.they did a step by step show on how to paint faux tina.it is very easy.you brush on black first.thats right brush on.then you mix orange and black to make brown then roll it on .thats right roll it.then you spary your desired color.will still wet you take white header paint and lightly spray it on keeping good distance.the key is to wet sand very slow so you can break through a layer at a time.after wet sanding you take red scotch brite pads and lightly scuff.this takes the sheen off and makes it flat.total cost of paint job $300 on paint and supplies.$89 on keg of pabst.good luck.
