Blazer
I have a question that I know you guy's can answer. I am becoming interested in either buying or trading my '70 fleetside for a '67-'70 soft top blazer 2 wheel drive.
I am finding that the 2 Wheel drive blazer is harder to find than the 4X4. My question is, If I find a 4X4 Blazer could I roll a 1/2 ton 2 Wheel drive chevy truck chassis under it without serious Modifications? ![]()

The truck chassis is a different length then the blazer. There are also different mounting and other considerations when switching from 2wd to 4x4 etc.

it's 69-72 for 4x4's and 70-72 for 2wd and (GMC production of the Jimmy). it is hard trying to find a 2wd blazer/jimmy put it can be done. I think mkmiller is going to list one, so he said.....he foudn a 2wd and need some items of it. Contact him on it, but i'm not sure on his plan with it.
You can get a 4x4 and lower it dropping a front cross member off a 2wd on it but the only hing will be is you will have a leaf spring setup and you can't convert to coil unless you do some modifications..... |

As for a step side chassis, it is the exact same underneath as a fleet side.
