Re: Who has the best patch panels?
I used dynacorn fenders and lower cowl panels and LMC cab corners. No complaints with either! Both are same thicknes metal.. dynacorn you will need to find a dealer and will probably save a little money.

Re: Who has the best patch panels?
From my experince in both selling and installing, the right side from Dyacorn and Tri Plus are about the same but the left from Dynacorn is much better. Not sure why but the Tri Plus corner doesn't line up well with the rocker and requires a lot of work to get it right. The Dynacorn left corner lines right up but is about $25 more. Not sure who LMC sells.

Have You tried Yogi"s in Iowa? They are a Dynacorn dealer. Go to www.dynacorn.com and they have a dealer locator on their web site. You only get 3 chances though so use your zip code! Had to find that out the hard way

Re: Who has the best patch panels?
they all suck IMO. buy the cheapest ones and rock out.
I only bought front cab corners. I made the bottoms of my doors, rockers, inner and outter rear corners, and floor/firewall. |

Re: Who has the best patch panels?
I agree with cajun somewhat.lol They don't necessarily suck, but I've never had a perfect patch panel. You are going to have to work with anyone you get if you want it nice. They give you the basic shape but put don't expect it to perfect. That's why I buy the cheapest ones I can get and rock out as cajun put it.lol The only reason I say they don't suck is because I save bit time trying to make them from flat stock. They do give you the basic shape after all and that's a huge time saver. I have gotten a lot of mine on ebay.

Re: Who has the best patch panels?
Thanks fellows for your post! It does help!
My main concern is the thickness of the patch panels I would like to keep them close to the stock thickness as posible and work out the fit myself, Im just hearing horror stories about the aftermarket panels not fitting and being really thin metal. When you think of 57 chevy you know its made heavy and strong just would like to keep it that way. I found somewhere "cant find it now" that there patch panels were the same stock thickness metal. I was hopeing someone knew this site! |
