Question about which fuel tank to run on 67 burb
I am currently swapping the drive train out of 1987 burb into my 67!!! I am going to run the fuel injection, and it will require an electric pump.
1. Does anyone make an electric pump with the return line that fits into a 67 burb tank 2 should I use the 87 tank setup.... I know the filler neck is on the other side of truck!!! Can I flip the tank around???? Any tips, hints, hints, help, ect..... Will be greatly appreciated!!! 3 should I use 67 tank and pickup ... And put external electric pump on frame rail, and run return line into filler neck??? Posted via Mobile Device Last edited by thermoman; 10-23-2010 at 10:33 PM. |

Re: Question about which fuel tank to run on 67 burb
I have a 72 burb, and put a 6.2 diesel in it. I used a tank outta a 86 burb. Just turn the tank around to the other side and plumb it up. the tank is bigger and fits just fine in your burb. I used my factory straps and just ran them from front to back rather than side to side.

Just curious, how much bigger is the '86 tank-I'm assuming you were talking capacity.

Re: Question about which fuel tank to run on 67 burb
My original plan was to try and use the 87 tank because it was in use just 2 months ago. The 67 tank is in mint condition but has been sitting idle since 1986. Was worried about dust build up in the tank and if I would ever get it all out 100%, and of course the issue with electric pump and return line.
