Link needed for guts inside the door.
Does anyone know if there is a link or photos to removing the glass, handles, rods, etc and then re-installing them into a new door? Never done this before but can figure it out if there is some help with pictures. Is there any specifics things to NOT do? Something to watch out for? Thanks for any help.

I dont have any pics or links but it is pretty easy... the hardest part is getting off the door panel around the window crank if you dont have that tool from Help

Re: Link needed for guts inside the door.
It's not really difficult to do, just need patience.
If you're replacing the door...this would be a great opportunity to use a cut off wheel and open the door up like a can of corn and show a great pictorial of what it looks like to disassemble and reassemble. If you only need manual type windows I could send you some pdf files pm me an email addrress.

Re: Link needed for guts inside the door.
That tech write up is really good. I am thinking with a little luck the interior (which was gutted as of 2 weeks ago) will be back together ready to rock! We are changing the steering column to a tilt system so that will get done Saturday when a friend comes to show us how to finish it PROPERLY!
How do you create a build link on here? We have nowhere to show the process and was hoping to be able to do it on here if possible. |

Re: Link needed for guts inside the door.
Go to the Projects and Builds sub-Forum within 73-87 and create a new thread.
Once you have that thread created, copy the web address in your browser, click on user CP in the header above. Click on edit signature in the left "Your Control Panel" box. Click on the "insert link" button (globe with figure 8 sidways) and paste the address over the blue http: it will look something like this: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=427739 edit that in the preview box to what you want to show up and you can keep editing it until you have it the way you want like this: Our ProjectBuild Title The "Our Project" before will show as just Print, the Build Title will be a more custom clickable link rather then just the web URL address (more professional) If you just want the clickable link leave out the verbage before the [URL....
