Gaylord Bed Covers
I'm thinking about getting one of these for my truck. Anyone else on here have any pictures of these installed? Also, do you recommend any other companies?
Thanks! |

This is not a picture of my truck, but it is the kind that I want. Where it sits inside the bed for a clean look.

Re: Gaylord Bed Covers
Yes they are! I think my dad paid like $14-1600 for his, way too much for me.
One thing I would like is to find one from another truck that fits well so I can find one of those on CL for reasonable. taylor, Those are made here in Texas, I have been told they look and are real cheap, Checker makes them, but IDK John, what is your's?

Re: Gaylord Bed Covers
Here's one from Pace Edwards, its aluminum and retracts into the box in front. You can get them either manual or electric.

Re: Gaylord Bed Covers
ya, if you get the top of the line hinge system..
now before you say it's expensive.. price out other ,lesser covers then go have it painted.. gayloard are painted to match your paint code..(if a standard paint code, not a candy/custom paint) a leer cover for my 97 f150 was cheaper to buy, then you have it painted.. so the gayload was a better deal in the end.. go price a paint job on a fiber cover.. if I can find a bed cap with no windows in the sides I'll go with that.. |

Re: Gaylord Bed Covers
Maybe things have changed... we looked at hard tonneaus for our Tacoma five years ago. Local dealers had A.R.E. and Leer, and both came color-matched to any standard paint code.

Re: Gaylord Bed Covers
If you say so.... I was told it was a factory-applied finish with a factory warranty. At any rate, it's a first-rate paint job and aside from a couple tiny rock chips, still looks as good as it did five years ago when we bought it.

Re: Gaylord Bed Covers
I've been looking at these also. Some sites don't go back far enough on the year. Does anyone know what years/sizes to look for?

Re: Gaylord Bed Covers
Great, thanks for all the info guys. Gaylord no longer makes the one that fits inside the bed rails, but here is a company that i came across that makes one pretty close.
