Brake light/park light troubles
Ok I am so confused I had checked everything I can think of......I have no turn signals and when I push the brakes the brake lights and the front park lights come on..Now everything worked just fine the other day then they just quit..I replaced the headlight switch and the brake light switch thinking they may be a problem but it did nothing.....What could be wrong or what do I need to check to find the issue....

Re: Brake light/park light troubles
Random problems like this are most frequently caused by bad grounds. The simplest solution is to run a separate ground wire from each light bucket to the frame. The factory depended on sheet metal connections for ground on many circuits, and 4-5 decades of rust/corrosion and paint can play havoc completing the electrical return. The other main switch you haven’t replaced is the dimmer switch. Although the switch rarely fails, in some of these trucks they suffer a lot of moisture and corrosion and can be the source of bad connections.

Well added ground wires to every light and still nothing......So i toreinto my column and as it turns out my turn signal switch's contacts were dirty. Cleaned them and eveything works great again....
