Nice classy upgrade there Dennis. I like the looks of the black much better than the red calipers. Good choice.

wilwood just released them... they used to have a black a few years back but people were complaining that they would fade and turn grey. they are using a different coating now that is supposed to hold up well just like the master cylinders. i got these from a local wilwood dealer but i know they are available through their website also.

So are these like a direct replacement for stock?

yes they bolt right up. you can use the stock rubber lines with the 7/16th banjo bolt even... they actually fit better than the stock calipers believe it or not. i had a hard time getting one of the stock ones to clear the spindle. these babies just slid right on

thanks for posting that Ken... i was going to but forgot. and if anyone is wondering i saw that grey finish in person, they actually call it platinum i think, and its nothing special at all. just looks like grey primer to me.

Re: BLACK D52 Wilwood calipers!

I have had mine on the front several months now. I really like them. I used the regular pads that I bought from a parts store. I would like to know if the wilwood pads are any good. my pads make noise from time to time.

Thats good to know they fit on the trucks really well. I bought a set of red D52's for my cutlass and they were just a hair too big for the caliper brackets so i had to slightly widen the opening in the bracket for them, but amazing brake calipers none the less.

Re: BLACK D52 Wilwood calipers!

interesting... how long have you had them? i'll for sure let you know how the wilwoods pads work out. just from my little drive the other day i can tell she's going to stop a lot better. especially with them at all 4 corners.
