Power steering question
Hey guys It's been awhile since i posted, I hope all is well. My question is I am putting power steering in the 69 and I'm having a hard time finding the bracket for the pump. My alternator is on the driver side and all the trucks I've seen in the junk yard are on the passenger side. If I wanted to put a/c on the truck later should I go ahead and replace the water pump and convert the alternator over to the passenger side or can I just put the compressor on the passenger side later. I stripped the pulleys and brakets off the front of a 79 chevy with 350 and a/c, but would like to use the correct power steering braket for a 69. Any help would be nice and pictures of it installed would be great.

Since you have the long water pump setup, you will need the long water pump power steering bracket for the power steering pump. Intermixing does not seem to work very well.
You may want to bite the bullet and get the whole setup for the short water pump. Jim |

AC on the passenger side is HIGHLY recommended unless you want to deal with routing extra long freon piping to your heater core airbox.
When I started doing this stuff with my old Wagoneer, I learned real quick to try and convert it to what MOST of the other ones looked like. There are way too many bracket combinations and it just got too hard. I don't know...just my thoughts...
