HEI Conversion?
My dad recently upgraded his 67 Chevelle to HEI and so far has said it was far better than his old system and that made me start to wonder about upgrading mine to that. If I were to update my stock system what all would I have to change? I know my coils, and distributor but what else? And also where would this ignition box come into play? (http://www.msdignition.com/Products/..._Ignition.aspx) I picked this box because I'm not going to be hot roding my truck and it's going to be a daily driver....Sorry...this thread might seem kinda pointless but I just haven't messed with this stuff very much. Also if you have any pictures showing end results or during the process I would appreciate those to.
Thanks

Re: HEI Conversion?
Your 77 should already be running the HEI which is about as good as it gets for a stock to mild engine.

Re: HEI Conversion?
See just about how much I know? Well if I did upgrade to a full MSD ignition would that really do all that much?

Re: HEI Conversion?
As far as I'm concerned, that box is useless for your application. It gives you specific control of your spark, but if your engine is all stock/original, I'd skip it and spend the money elsewhere. The HEI ignition by itself is one of the best designs out there.
