1960 Inside panel removal - HELP !
Hi my favorite truck Gurus,
I am moving along on my 60 GMC Suburban. I tried to remove the inside front door area panels shown below. They seem to be "glued?" anybody ever removed these ? Is it better to sand and paint them in place ? Thanks in advance for the forthcoming great advice.

I haven't removed them , but buy looking at the pics, they have to be screwed or spot welded somewhere around/behind that door rubber..

Re: 1960 Inside panel removal - HELP !
There doesn’t appear to be any welding. No screws, kinda crimped behind the rubber molding. But, the panels don’t really move when the screws are out. Somebody thought that they (factory) might have “glued” them and used the screws along the back. Just wondering if anybody knew how this was done, or how they removed them without causing damage to them. I’ll just sand and paint them inside if that is easier.

Re: 1960 Inside panel removal - HELP !
I'm new on the site but not to the site. but I know the answer so i'll jump in. Both of those panels are welded also. the spot welds under the weatherstripping for the rear panel and along the front edge of the one over the door. I just pulled them out of my burbans a couple weeks ago. had to drill about 25 spot welds on the chev and was able to break them by hand on the gmc. no fusion.
