What steering components to use?
I am getting ready to redo all the front steering and bushing in my 85 and locally I can get MOOG, Raybesto's and TRW. Also I can get a house brand made by Raybesto's for 1/3 price of the name brand, but have no idea on the quality of it. Also would it be best to just get an energy suspension kit or buy the bushings from the parts house?
What are your opinions?

Re: What steering components to use?
My truck is getting Energy Suspension bushings and MOOG ball joints. I have not ventured into the cheaper options because it's only a few dollars and I KNOW this stuff is worth the few extra bucks.

Re: What steering components to use?
I found a place that carried moog and raybestos and I aske to see both parts in hand. They were built pretty much identical, with the exception that the raybestos ones had grease fittings, where as MOOG does not. They also had urethane boots. They were about a little higher in price, but I got him to give them to me for the MOOG price. Might want to look into them if they are in your area.

Re: What steering components to use?
I used 100% moog on my 65, I do not regret it at all. I figure, why cheap out on the front suspension? up to you though.
