Value Discussion - 2wd Blazer vs. Jimmy Frame, Title, VIN

I'm trying to establish a value line for a 2wd chassis which would include the title, and VIN for either a Blazer or a Jimmy.

I've done some research on the board but haven't been able to identify a value based on Chevrolet vs. GMC. Not that there is a difference, but as we all know Chevrolet's bring more $$$ generally.

So what's your opinion...

Nate

Re: Value Discussion - 2wd Blazer vs. Jimmy Frame, Title, VIN

I doubt there is a value difference for just the frame between Blazer & Jimmy. On a complete truck, the Chevy will bring more because the Jimmy isn't as well known (and some people don't like the 4 headlights)

From what I've seen, frames with the VIN tend to go for $500-1,000 - depending on location.

I would think the lower production of GMC Jimmy's would raise there value, no?

That's kind of what I'm trying to determine... can anyone provide the production numbers for the Blazer vs. the Jimmy?

Re: Value Discussion - 2wd Blazer vs. Jimmy Frame, Title, VIN

It's been posted here that GMC's made up about 20% of total production but no numbers to exactly verify this. If there was 3600+ 2wd Blazers in '72; GMC Jimmy's were 20% of these (as previously posted by other members)

Re: Value Discussion - 2wd Blazer vs. Jimmy Frame, Title, VIN

It sounds like you have one frame, two VINs and are trying to mate a VIN/title to a frame based on potential value.

The feds say you shouldn't swap VINs...
