Has anyone ever tried to install the windshield on a butyl kit instead of using the gasket???

I thought about it recently, but was not really thinking about doing it, just looking. the trouble is the glass does not fit the opening for that kind of fit up. you would have to widen the pinch weld flange and use a wide trim or build in the area around the window for a tighter fit. then paint a 1" band around the window. if you went through all this trouble you would be better using the urethane.
