Gas Pedal/Cable
Hey guys,
Is anyone running a different gas pedal with a cable rather than the stock rod system? I'm thinking about installing a kit that I found on eBay similar to a Lokar pedal. Looks just like a lokar, I have one on my coupe, I like it, no issues.

Just my .02 my buddy got an RPC billet looking pedal assembly and it is very sloppy in the actual joint that mounts to the firewall. The pedal moves almost 1/2" side to side. I don't know about the Lokar ones, but it looks similar to the RPC as well. That's the only reason I brought that up. I just got started putting a stock 71 pedal in my '64 and it looks like the mounting surface is just a little too wide. I like the feel of the factory hinge pedals myself so I'll make it work. Just giving some input on other options out there

I took the cable assembly and gas pedal along with the mount aparatus on the engine off a 1990 chevy truck and it works perfect. Easy to mount and hookup. Personally, i think the cable is way better than a mechanical rod or lever system.
