LT1 Cooling
I dropped an LT1 out of a 95 z28 in my 64 and was going to run the radiator from my truck. I have been told I need to run the camaro radiator. Does anyone know if I can run my truck's radiator or if I have to run the LT1 radiator? The only reason I ask is because of the reverse cooling and the fact that the LT1 has more coolant lines coming from the water pump then a Gen I SBC. I also have just ran a line form one head to the other for the coolant crossover in the back... I believe that it should cool fine this way but if anyone knows for sure please let me know. I would be grateful for any help I can get on this. Oh and not that it matters but I converted the LT1 to carb instead of using the fuel injection.

Re: LT1 Cooling
You don't need the camro radiator, I ran a stock radiator in mine for years. Also plug the 1/2 hole in the water pump, you don't need it.

Re: LT1 Cooling
You need to do more than just run a line connecting the rear of the two heads. This is a purge line and on mine I "T'ed" it into one of the heater hoses.

Re: LT1 Cooling
Thanks for the information guys. I will cap the 1/2" line on the driver side and T the crossover into a heater hose. I am glad I don't have to buy a new radiator. Funds are still kinda short from the Holidays.
