where to get decals ?
I am looking to restore a set of original valve covers and they have a foil decal with the engine info stamped in. I have found most all decals reproduced but have not found this one yet. Anyone know of a source? Thanks.

Re: where to get decals ?
If you're talking about the one pictured below, you might have trouble finding it - I've been looking everywhere and haven't seen one yet. I've seen many that just have "350" on them but none of the original type. Does anyone know of anyone who reproduces the "REAL" valve cover decal ?

Re: where to get decals ?
Looks like the 1970-71 only truck decal. Who said factory restos are easy?

Re: where to get decals ?
Randy, that is exactly the decal I am looking for. I will have to destroy the original to blast the covers and there is no way it is coming off. So, where are they. No vendors have been able to find them so I guess I am the pooch. Thanks guys.

Re: where to get decals ?
Hi nu2-72,
Dad's 77 had a similar looking decal with the engine displacement & date stuck on the side of the air cleaner. I used a heat gun (pointed at the inside) to heat up the metal and soften the adhesive on the decal. That allowed it to be carefully peeled off without additional damage. I stuck it back on with a little trim adhesive after re-painting the air cleaner. It's a bit worn & rough looking, but I couldn't find a reproduction of this decal anywhere either. @Kevin, I don't know where to find your decals, but thought I'd say Hi anyway. Long time.

Classic Parts of America has a lot of these decals. I don't think they have the particular one you're looking for, but one of these might look good in its place. Besides, no one would be able to tell the difference except for us truck guys on the forum.
