new '68 big-block swb CST to restore
I have been looking for many years for a true '68 396 swb CST and finally was able to score one.
I've sold my '72 K25 (see build thread), and after I finish my '55 Gasser, I'm going to restore the '68 back to as new. Gonna be sweet: 396, T400, PS, PB, A/C, and buddy buckets.

Very nice truck. The 68 swb trucks with the 396 are not easy trucks to find.

Re: new '68 big-block swb CST to restore
Sweet!!!!!I would sure preserve that SPID. Like maybe put the entire glove box door as is, in your closet and get a replacement door and maybe a redone SPID.
I am not a huge fan of 67-68, s (compared to 72’s), but I would love to restore that one……..Jason

Re: new '68 big-block swb CST to restore
Super cool Casey. That is going to be an awesome original truck in that medium blue color. I have a couple of NOS items when you get to that point of restoration for a 68. I have a true NOS chrome edged 68 only dash bezel in the GM box and a full set of NOS 67-68 full wheel covers still in their GM boxes for something this rare. They be around when you get to that point. Mark

Re: new '68 big-block swb CST to restore
Nice find there, your board handle could be grafted right onto the license plates when you get that one back on the road. Now about that spid, do you know any of the history on this very rare find of a truck? That very well may be one of Jeff/chipfler's repro "Aged" spids that he has mastered down to a tee Mel

You really have yourself a very low production truck, there can't be many like this one!
