Cut Pile Carpet Kits?
Hey guys, new to the forum and I love all the information on here. I did a quick search on this and didn't come up with anything.
I'm looking for a carpet kit for my newly acquired 68' C10. I would like to get the newer style cut-pile carpet material but I'm not having a lot of luck finding it. Mainly coming across the original loop-style carpeting. I know from experience that carpet kits are sort of hit/miss as far as quality and full floor coverage goes. I'd like full floor coverage under the seat to the gas tank. Any carpet kits out there that can fit this bill without costing 200.00 or more? Any kits that I should avoid at all costs? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Mike |

We do custom orders. We have sold many cut pile carpets and a large variety of colors for these trucks. WES

What's the difference between cut-pile and loop style?

Re: Cut Pile Carpet Kits?
Loop style is the original style carpet from the 60's early 70's. The factory started using the more plush style cut pile carpeting around the late 70's (I think) and is what you'll find in modern cars. IMO, the cut pile is just a much nicer carpet for a driver.

Re: Cut Pile Carpet Kits?
Looking for a molded carpet and I don't think most upholstery shops do that sort of thing. Eventually the truck will have bucket seats so there will be some exposed areas in-between the seats, hence the reason for wanting full floor coverage front to back.

I just installed essex black carpet from ACC. Fits perfect. I would buy from them again.
