Needing more front tire clearance

I have a 72 c-10 that i would like to narrow up the front end to be able to drive it at a lower stance. The truck lays all the way out but i have raise it higher than i like to be able to drive it without getting into the fenders. To begin with the truck has been z'd 3" , drop spindles, art lower strong arms, and factory upper a-arms, on air bags. I am running the boss 338 20x8.5. Any suggestions without hacking up the suspension anymore or spending major bucks? ive seen on portebuilt's site that they can make their control arms narrower than stock and have also seen a few other sites with narrowed control arms. is that my best option?

Either narrower control arms, or CPP spindles.

I would say talk to Nate at Porterbuilt. My guess is he will build what you need.

That is a thought also, but i think that its easier to buy suspension parts than it is to find another set of wheels! Im not sure but i think the boss 338 wheels are a standard backspace? Plus my wife says i buy too many wheels as it is! Ha!

Re: Needing more front tire clearance

shortening the lower arm would give you what you want, but then your upper bj will probably(like 99.9% sure) bind, so you'll need to cut/weld there to make them work or buy something like ART uppers.

also when you lift the truck truck it will positive camber pretty good.

I had this same issue on my truck. I just went and added an 1 inch more backspace on the front wheels. now when its laid out it looks like it doesn't have any wheels on it they are so far tucked in, but I ride around 1" or so and can turn so its all good.
