New to me 62 C10 Stepside
I just purchased a 1962 Chevrolet C10 Stepside for $200. It's just a roller but for $200 I couldn't pass it up. It needs work and parts and a little knowledge from my end. Here she is.

Re: New to me 62 C10 Stepside
Looks like someone swapped out the front and rear end, 5 lug wheels. Should be a fun project.

Re: New to me 62 C10 Stepside
Yeah I'd say a lot has been swapped. I came with two new panels for the doors, two new panels for the fenders and had the original grill, steps, and turn signals sitting in the cab. It will be a lot of work but should be fun.

Welcome to the forum
Yeah for $200 I wouldn't pass that up either. What do you have planned for a drivetrain? There are many places to buy restoration parts. I would recomend first checking out the 'Vendors Marketplace' here on the forum. One supplier that I like to buy from is Classic Parts. http://www.classicparts.com

Re: New to me 62 C10 Stepside
It's actually a small window. Would love a big window though and what does knee knocker mean? As for drivetrain we aren't really sure yet. I want to get the body straightened out first...take care of all the rust and then worry about everything else. My dad was thinking a 327 but who knows what we will end up with.

Re: New to me 62 C10 Stepside
When you go to replace the windshield you might want to look at your local glass shops. They can sometimes get the glass to you and installed cheaper. Nice start to a project though. Best of luck from SE New Mexico.

Took everything but the doors and hood off. Ready to sandblast and spary primer on the pieces that don't need fixing.
