Re: Before & After

I ordered the 3" drop spindles from airbagit. It took some grinding to make them fit, but they work great. I ordered 5" drop leafs from Performanceonline. When you order your leafs make sure you call them and specify what they are for, they almost sent me c10 springs. All said and down it worked out great and I am really happy with it.

Re: Before & After

How much suspension travel do you estimate that you have left with the 5" drop in the rear?

The camper never moves, but it looks like you trimmed the tree.

Re: Before & After

About 3 or 4 inches of travel left. POL claimed they were 3/4ton leafs, I haven't loaded anything in to the back to check yet.

Re: Before & After

If I were to remove the rubber stop between the axle and truck bed I would have a couple more inches.

Re: Before & After

how does it ride (the rear specificly) and if you don' mind, can you share what the cost was? I'm looking for a low buck route, and I doubt this is what I'm looking for. (I have a few ideas rolling around my head)

Re: Before & After

It rides a lot better, very smooth. With the stiff suspension and overload springs before It rode like the axle was welded to the frame.

The leafs are $400 and the spindles are $300. I am a cheap bastard and I will say that this was money well spent.

I tried the cheap route before I bought them. I removed three leafs and it only went down 1".
