My sand filled adventure of the day

Took my son out to one of my favorite junkyards. He didn't really get it but hopefully some day he will. Took a few pics of some of the awesome cars out there but there are many, many more.

a perfect 60 grill

an old 63 camper

the seats out of the camper that I am thinking about acquiring

a nice international and I want to say a 69 C10

an old 60's van

this could be a beautiful cruiser

a plymouth FuryIII

a Plymouth FuryII wagon

IDK why but I've always been partial to this Mercury

this thing has a very nice straight body

another good lookin car

they had some good looking internationals

my ham son on the fender of a Willies Jeep Wagon

another good international

Re: My sand filled adventure of the day

I would like to see the seat brackets on those buckets. Some of the IH trucks come with buddy buckets. I love junkyards. Before I was old enough to drive my Grandmom would drop me and some buddies off at the local yard with a bag lunch for the day ( old school day care ).Thanks for sharing the pics.

Re: My sand filled adventure of the day

Those pics are only a fraction of all the cars in there. There are quite a few 90's junkers i wouldn't even bother looking at. But back towards the back there were rows of old Ferds and dodges and other internationals and jeeps and cars from the 40's on. There was even an old gmc medium duty truck that was around a 56 with a factory v8.

Re: My sand filled adventure of the day

You should pick up those buckets. You can't find trucks like that out here, stripped clean in one day.

Wild Bill's Auto Wrecking (575)437-5400. They are open tuesday-friday 11-5 and saturday 9-5mountain time. The mercury is complete to include the MASSIVE big block sitting between the fender wells. Interior seems to all be there but dash has definitely seen better days.

Re: My sand filled adventure of the day

Nice junkyard. The local yard here doesn't have nearly that many old vehicles to choose from and in that good of shape. The ground is also uneven as crap so you have to watch where you step so as not to trip and roll down a hill.
