Re: fresh 3.5 / 5 drop.
thanks again.
it was my grandad's only new vehicle bought 8-10-1967 (have the warranty plate) im gonna drive it just like he left it, except for the lowering part. a whole lot PAWPAW and a lil bit of me! (just enought to make people scratch their heads.) ironically, BOTH original front springs were broken after 1 coil... which told me that this baby wanted in the weeds! |

Re: fresh 3.5 / 5 drop.
Truck looks good. Pictures of drops always seem to look different from each other. Yours is a 3.5-5 yet it looks as low or lower to me than many 4-6 drops I see. Same deal with 2-4..some look way higher than the next guys.

Re: fresh 3.5 / 5 drop.
Just perfect. At least until you have to lift something heavy into it.The you'll want another inch or two. That is if your dad don't steal it when he finds out how much less he has to lift stuff into it.

Re: fresh 3.5 / 5 drop.
I think the difference in the drops is because of quality control on ece's part. I ordered all new suspension from them, spindles, springs, mounts, the whole 9 yards only to have to replace the front springs twice cause they were to damn low and all three sets were supposed to be 1 inch drop in addition to my 2.5 spindles. Even on the 3rd set the truck is almost 4.5 lower in the front instead of the 3.5 like it was supposed to be. Maybe just my experience but I was not real pleased with their quality.

if i could find them reasonable i would put them on... i like the tire "tucked" though a 235/70 does tempt me! if anything in my build some 1/2" drop blocks for rear.... tho it is my experince that trucks just ride better with a SLIGHT rake.... hmmmmm Last edited by ldgn63; 03-22-2011 at 05:57 PM. |

Re: fresh 3.5 / 5 drop.
I was gonna say why not buy the 6" drop coils from Ece becasue you got your stuff from them but I see you like the rake look. I like it too I go back and forth on bags and all but STATIC drop the right way is good in long run i think. Less uuuummm Mainentance? haha. To many others things to keep up with. Love your truck though man..Gives me alot of inspiration. And Yea it looks way lower than 3.5 in front..haha love it.
