Changing 67-68 Radiator support to a 69-72
I did a search and found a ton of threads about people changing their 69+ radiator supports to work on a 67-68, but nothing about going the other way. I bought a whole bunch of parts from a guy off craigs list and it wasnt until i got home that i realized he sold me a brand new 67-68 Rad. support. I still have my original one from the 72, but i dont know if its possible to remove the headlight buckets from it and weld them onto the new one. Has anyone tried this, or heard of it being done? My old one is fairly rotted, and the one i picked up is brand spankin from LMC so if i could save it that would be nice. If all else fails i guess i could look for someone to trade with me...

Re: Changing 67-68 Radiator support to a 69-72
I asked GMC Pauls the same question and although I don't recall the details the work required to modify it to fit was more then I wanted to undertake. As I recall the buckets are a problem and the drop in the height was an issue.

Re: Changing 67-68 Radiator support to a 69-72
I did it with a 1968 support and a 1970 support. I bought a spot weld cutter and removed the headlight extensions and put them on the 68 support. Just take measurements in every direction imaginable before removing the parts. Vertical and horizontal and diagonal. I put mine back on with self tapping screws. Headlights were centered in bezel when done.
