Question Source for an exhaust cross over pipe?

Gone are the days when auto parts stores stock exhaust pipes for our trucks.

I can't seem to be able to find a source for a cross over pipe for the 69 wrecker. (want to keep cross over, single exhaust for restoration purposes)

The truck had some cobbled together nightmare for exhaust so I have nothing to start with.

Thanks,

Bob

Did you check with the board Venders to see what they have to offer, alot of them can get tough to find parts you cant find any where else.

Lightbulb Re: Source for an exhaust cross over pipe?

a GOOD exhaust shop can build one that is close to OEM. i've built several during my time for various vehicles but it won't be cheap. to build it so it looks correct AND flows properly will be time consuming. our shop is $90.00 per hour and it might take a couple hours to build it properly. thats not including the rest of the pipe and muffler-you could easily wrap up $500.00 for a single system where a full set of duals with turbos or glasspaks will run about the same money and flow much better.

Re: Source for an exhaust cross over pipe?

I could fabricate one myself I suppose if I can't find one. Seems like a part that should be readily available but maybe I'm wrong?

Re: Source for an exhaust cross over pipe?

Thanks! I was going to check with NAPA but didn't. I tried autozone and advance auto.

It's $109.00 at Napa so at least one exists.
