Can't sleep still have a full gas can in my bed
The funny thing is I replaced the bad tank sending unit right after I got the truck two months ago (well a week after I ran out of gas). Guess I was a little skeptical or wary of the new one, haven't ran out of gas since H.S. Anyway I'm new here to this forum and was going threw some pics of my truck and its soon to be new BFG's & Coy C-5's wheels and tires, and there is that dang gas can in my pic. For two months its been there, sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees. So I thought that it was funny and a good way to say hello to the great C10 faithful by poking a little fun at myself. Anyhow its good to be here looking and talking C10.

Re: Can't sleep still have a full gas can in my bed
I'd use that gas soon. Don't let it go stale (or get stolen)sitting there. There's nothing wrong with being cautious. In my younger days, I would carry a full tool box in the bed of my truck "just in case". Now I just carry AAA in my wallet.
Welcome aboard.

Re: Can't sleep still have a full gas can in my bed
I still travel with a full tool box and I drive a 97 silverado... as far as the gas can is concerned , I think I will try to run my truck out of fuel on the back streets just to see if the gauge is right ... Heck I had a 65 chevy tank on a wrecker that I never did have a gauge for , used a long brake line to check the fuel level...
