New here too

Hi am new to the board as well but have been active on other boards during previous bouts of insanity with other vehicles most recently 5 Mustang Cobras in a row. I think I have that one out of my system and now I am buying my Father in laws 66 C20 lwb cs with a 327/TH400 heavy duty suspension and working A/C. It is a one owner Cali truck with no rust just waiting for good weather on the passes to bring it out here. He recently repainted and restored it so can't wait to get back into the truck craze. Thanks for providing this resource.

Here's a sneak peak

Welcome to the forum

That's a real nice looking truck. Do you have any plans to change anything, or is pretty much every thing done the way you like it?

For now just want to drop it a bit. Nothing radical just a 4/6 but trying to figure out if I can do it without switching over to c10 gear while I save up for a Hotchkis kit other than that it is pretty much done. Maybe some light tint to protect interior from sun fade. Thanks

Saw an article in a new classic truck mag about the kit they have for the 60-72 C10 and wondered if you can just swap springs till you can save for whole conversion kit.

Re: New here too

Is that truck Silver and White? I think I just found my color combo (or very, very close to it!)

Do you have any better pictures and where is that truck coming from? It looks familiar (actually the signs on the garage do).

Yes silver and white it's in Cali as well my father-in-law owns it I don't have any better pics haven't seen it in person since he redid it. It used to be all white but he two toned it and redid the wood bed and reupolstered it too can't wait til weather clears so it can come out here.

Re: New here too

That's a nice truck! I really like the '66s with the 327/th400 and A/C. That's a great combination. I have a buddy that owns one (C-20) with the same options as yours, and it's a nice driving truck.
