While I don't love replying to myself - couldn't help but share another youtuber of an incredibly nice 63 with an LS1. Man this thing is gorgeous! And the sound is simply incredible. Wow. Love this truck.

(No I did not just discover youtube for the first time, but I did find some stuff I've never seen before). I'd love to stick an LS in one of these old trucks. But I'm leaning toward a 72 Chev for that little job... So many trucks (ok, trucks I WANT) and so little time (ok, so little cash...)

I agree with you likaroc, just not my style.

I have the 4.8 FI motor in mine and it is a great motor, plenty of rocks and great economy compared to my old 350/400.

Re: vid of very nice 64 short wide big window

i didn't even notice that likaroc - i agree, not a big fan of those. I've got some funky (LMC I think) chrome radiator brace panels, heater top, and other misc odds n ends under the hood from a PO. They're not as bad (imo) as chrome body panels, but they're coming off when I get around to it anyway - they're in good shape, just not my personal taste and seem a bit out of place on my truck. They look good on some though that are all hotrodded under the hood with chrome. I'm more of a semi-gloss kinda guy. I must be getting old.
