Re: What do you think it will run?
If your engine has good forged components, it will love the bottle. We have found that we run faster with lower compression than is traditional for a nitrous engine. On engine only, I would guess low 12's. Paul Baxter

Re: What do you think it will run?
I'm going to be a hair more optimistic than kpeztruck and say you might hit mid 11's. It really depends on traction, air quality and how well your setup works together. Have you had it dyno'd?

Re: What do you think it will run?
Reverse split cam huh? Any particular reason?
I'd say if you get some decent air, it should mph in the 114-116 range. I'd say in a big truck that's good for high elevens if you can sixty foot the thing. Bottom 12s for sure though.

Re: What do you think it will run?
It is not together right now. But, do have all the major parts. The heads will be done in the next couple weeks. The pockets in the heads are being worked a little. The block is done. All I have to do is get it balanced an start putting it together. Forged pistons, Callies rods an GM forged steel crank. Engine should be together in about month an half. Here is the cam specs. Thanks for the comments. I had a chevelle with a little less engine than what this is an of course it was lighter it ran 11.60's. I am trying to at least match that time with this combo. I will keep making changes till I get it where I think it is doing its best it is going to do.
264 @ .050 .680 272 @ .050 .683 EXH. 4/7 swap. I am considering Nitrous but I do not know anything about tuning it. Any directions from someone that runs it would be appreciated. You can pm me or lead me in a good direction. Last edited by Blue Rat; 05-12-2011 at 07:54 PM. |
