dually axle c20
Ive got an 8 lug C that i have decided to make into a dually "i need a tow hog" what do i need to do with the axle? can i put dually rims on here, buy adapters or buy a dually axle?
In the front I am going to look for a dually front crossmember and swap it out. Will the 88-98 front end fit, or just 83-87? This is my rear end. |

Re: dually axle c20
I saw an ad on craigslist a few months back for a guy that had a 65 with the axles off of a 84 dully i think. i was going to buy it but they were just tack welded into place. so i would say those years would work.

Re: dually axle c20
depends on the rear drums. if it wasn't set up for duals it probably won't work. I don't think the 88-98 front end will work without major modification

Re: dually axle c20
An '88-'98 front suspension will not work. You need one from a '71-'87 C30 or thru '91 for the R30. I would suggest switching your HO52 differential, assuming that is what you have, for either a 14 bolt or a Dana 70 that is a dual wheel version.
