Texas has no '60-'66's?

I was in Texas this week on a biz trip and drove from San Antonio to Uvalde, stayed in Uvalde for two days then back to San Antonio and didn't see one single truck.... NOT ONE!

Are they all gone or was I in the wrong area of Texas?

LOL.

Re: Texas has no '60-'66's?

I hardly ever saw an classic cars/trucks the 7 years I lived in that area.. I think the ratio of classics to people is huge compared to other areas... after I left I found out about the hamb, southaustin speed shop, mercury charlie, lone star roundup....
don't know where they hide , but they are there...

Re: Texas has no '60-'66's?

IDK about where you were but just in my small neighborhood there must be 20 60-66 trucks. that is like 1 truck for every 6 humans. You were in the wrong area IMO.

LOL.

I took the same trip last year and remember seeing a couple in Uvalde and the a few between there and San Antonio. None of them were show trucks but were 60-66.

It was for a Continental Tires event held at their proving grounds right outside of Uvalde. We all had a blast.

Re: Texas has no '60-'66's?

My 64 Fenderside is from Austin (originally sold in Amarillo) and my parts truck is a '66 GMC Fleetside from Harper, TX. There is a '64ish Chevy truck right around the corner from my house in Austin. At work, in Andice, I see a few drive by and we don't even have a stoplight in town.

Yes we did... (I didn't see any trucks last year either). You should have gone this year. We got to run off road buggies through a course with some airtime thrown in!

LaPaloma afterwards was nice again as well.

LOL!

This year time got away from me. Will try to go next year for sure. Not sure which would have been better off road buggies or supercar.

Last time I went to Houston I saw a few Classic's in Texas. I saw a lot more in Missouri and Oklahoma on the roads I was on.

I live in Longview (east Texas) On occasion you will see a few running the roads. Not as many and there used to be in recent years but there still are a few.
