that sounds like a cool idea. maybe you could a shaker assembly of a late 70's t/a, not sure what all years had them. then maybe cut your hood out to fit it, or something. I don't why it couldn't be done. i used to have a 79 t/a and the shaker assembly sat right down on the carb and had weatherstripping around the top od the shaker that sealed arounf it when the hood was shut. you might have to make some kinda stack or something to put on the carb to get the shaker assembly at the right heighth and angle and such.

truckster thanks yeah after i got to thinking about the shaker hood i was thinkin well the carb sets low maybe a high rise intake or a big spacer or something im not sure or maybe jsut a tall bas on the shaker scoop

i wish they made that SS hood for a 1982 model if i cant rig up a shaker hood there are some nice cowls or some ram air hoods

but for sure what ever i get on the sides of it painted will be SS 400

later on ill get a nother swb pick up fiberglass front in with a big block bad ol motor and make myself a hotrod

Has anyone seen the SS hood on a truck? I don't like the Ram Air. It looks like 2 big nostrils.
