Do you like where I put my radio.

Some one put small speakers in the dash. I put big ones in the back corners. What do you think of the place I put my radio?

I'd get tired of stepping on it.

I still kinda like my AM radio in the stock location. Best AM radio I've ever had cause it won't turn on.

That is a great idea. I could put a cup holder on top of it.

I went to a shop where they install radios, and bought a piece of abs plastic. It is 1/8th. inch thick. It is smooth on one side, and textured on the other. Made a template. Marked the plastic with a welders soap stone marker. Used a straight edge, and used a box cutter knife to cut it. Keep cutting till the cut is deep enough so you can snap the piece off. Then cut the corner, and trim it. Use a file to to shape it also. I will use small black screws to attach it to the bezel later.

Who needs a radio? All you need is a big block Chevy motor, nice size cam, & headers with Flowmasters ( Now That's A Tune ). LOL

Re: Do you like where I put my radio.

I'll be having two radios in mine, seeing as though my original one still works, but I want to listen to my iPhone and CD's, so I'm debating on widening my ash tray and taking it out, since there will be no smoking in my truck, ever, and putting the secondary, aftermarket radio in there to tuck it away with none-the-wiser. Or I may just make my glove compartment deeper and put it there, but that's a hellofa distance to switch a tune. Any ideas?

Re: Do you like where I put my radio.

The dash repair looks great....but why did you drill into the dash below rather than just putting the radio back where it should go? I had a similar looking panel to cover the radio area and mounted the radio in that spot. Looked much cleaner IMO.

Any local audio shop should have them, I used one when I hid a radio under the dash of my 70 Chevelle.
