Re: 72 super cheyenne on Craigslist

Not sure if it's right or not but my super came with woodgrain dash, doors, and glovebox as well as factory tach. Also the original motor in mine was a 400 according to the SPID not a 350. Also it had the lower woodgrain trim on the outside of the truck as well as tailgate. I don't think I see any of that in the pics of this truck or course mine might be wrong lol!

350 was standard, 400 was an option, as was your tach.

Wow had no idea guess that means I stumbled across a good one. I guess if it had been a short bed it would have been the trifecta huh? Bad thing is the previous owner took out the 400 back in 85 and threw in a 350 he said he had in his garage. Guess what? He didn't keep the original 400 I will say though the 350 is fun!

You probably already know this but the "400" that was in your truck was actually the BB 402 (bored 396). Definitely makes for a fun truck.

Wow, way to rub it in. Glad you didn't tell him his truck would be worth double with it.

I agree. Why would you downgrade those accessories?

Re: 72 super cheyenne on Craigslist

He says new interior, so that could explain the bezel and door panels. Outside glove box door might have been stripped when it was repainted. Maybe they didn't like the woodgrain? Sure doesn't mean it isn't a legit super.
