What to keep?? Shaved 1987 firewall and fenders
Hi, a search did not turn up many ideas so I'm going to ask what to keep and what to shave on the firewall?
On the inside the fenders as well on the upper section of the fender, - where the hood hinges bolt to, - where the washer jug is, - where all the square holes cut out of it, Has anyone filled them or smoothed out the inside of the fenders on the underhood side? Any pictures floating around?? Thank you!!

What material is that you screwed/bolted in? I can't quite tell if it is steel or something else.

Here's a few shots of what was done to my 77 to clean things up. Didn't shave everything, just smoothed it out a bit.

Re: What to keep?? Shaved 1987 firewall and fenders
Looks great!
Are those fender cover panels welded to the fender or bolted to the inside of the fender? I might try to bolt them into mine so that I could access wires or whatever behind if needed.

Re: What to keep?? Shaved 1987 firewall and fenders
The covers are bolted in. We designed them so they could be removed if needed.
