I need a how to for wheel bearings

I have seen this thread somewhere and that's why I decided to go ahead and get the bearings. Now, I can find it and I already started and am stumped.

I have a 83 1/2 ton with GM 10 bolt with auto locking hubs.

Please assist.
Thank you.

nevermind. I figured it out.
There was too much grease to see what was holding it together.

HAHAHA been there. There are snap rings and you need a special socket if I remember right.

Re: I need a how to for wheel bearings

yeah, Im gonna have to go to the parts store and get that socket.
As soon as I got down to those weird nuts, I realized that they were just loose. The PO had already changed the bearings but apparently didnt have that socket to tighten them back up. I went ahead and replaced the bearings and races and put the nuts back on as tight as I could get them with a screw driver and hammer tapping them in.
I will go back and redo it tomorrow with the socket and torque them down.
I have a Haynes manual that just explains the steps but absolutely no pictures.
My Haynes manual sucks. I havent been able to sue it for anything.
