Re: 230 to 350 swap pics please!!
I used the stock 3spd. Used the flywheel/clutch/starter/mounts of the 230. Only thing I needed to buy for the swap was a Z-Bar pivot ball from NAPA. (make sure you have a pilot bushing in the V8 crankshaft) I did use an internal regulator alternator but I think you could use the one off the 6 if you extend the harness and have the correct brackets. Stock throttle linkage will need to be extended. I welded in a piece of allthread but couldn't get WOT so I switched to a cable throttle. Stock lower hose will work if you cut it. You'll need to run a 12v wire if you use an HEI distributor. Swap took a better part of a saturday but that was with me cleaning and throwing some paint on the firewall/inner fenders.

I have never done the 3 spd swap but I know you have to have some mounting points on your engine block for the linkage ? ask Capt fab about that ??

the stock 6cyl. Z-bar (bellcrank) will work you just need the pivot ball. The pivot screws into a threaded boss in the block.

Re: 230 to 350 swap pics please!!
I was not sure what it took when I put my 350 in so I just woosed out and put a 700r4 in so I would have overdrive , 3:73, 29" tire height , looking for 1900rpm and 70mph----I got it... and i did not need the pivot ball. Kieth
