What did you get done July 24 edition

I finally got the transmission back in my YJ after being down for 3weeks, I put in a slave cylinder and clutch in it, but I'm still having clutch problems, but I did get the garage picked up and got most of my truck back in the garage for the first time since January. I also ordered 100 sqft of fat mat a week ago, it came Friday so did the 4 gallons of lizard skin ceramic insulation I ordered a day before at 1am from evil bay

Found out my almost purchased control arms don't fit, looked at it and polished the only nice thing on it (front bumper)

Re: What did you get done July 24 edition

I made mounts for my new aluminum radiator, got the truck dropped, tossed some paint on the stock ralleys and spent yesterday evening/night at the drag races. I am officially hooked again and am ready to have the truck track ready and my leg healed enough so I can drive it. Best of all, spent time with some great friends and the wife. I also got a smoking deal on a mostly complete nitrous setup from a buddy. I'll keep it tame with 100-150 shot until I go forged and stroked. Then I'll jump up to 275-300 horse.

Rebuilt the front a-arms for the dually. Waiting on sway-bar bushings & shocks (ordered) as well as tie-rod ends (didn't have complete set of same brand). Also 'rebuilt' the motor mounts (swapped poly mounts in place of the rotted rubber that was in there).

Went camping in the columbia river gorge. Pulled the trailer with the square dually and got passed by diesels all day long. the old beast is paid for though.

Re: What did you get done July 24 edition

Got the fuel tank rock shield back on my loaner K-5 Jimmy. Then cleaned and loaded the engine hoist, and tranny jack that I borrowed. Returned the Jimmy to my friend that let me borrow it for the last 6 months. Borrowed his pressure washer so I can clean my garage floor, camper, fence, and driveway. Think I might try and clean some of the crap off the firewall of my black truck while I am at it.

Re: What did you get done July 24 edition

Replaced the AC belt the diesel tossed last week. Got all the parts for my live hydraulic set up on my tractor, except for the mounts I have to make. Loaded up a bunch of stuff and took it to a swap meet, made a few bucks and got rid of a few things. Started the next layer of scrapping, gonna get all that stuff out of the barn before snow....

Re: What did you get done July 24 edition

i got my truck past NJ state inspenction. After the crate motor i found out that i had to run a cat and i had a hi flow cat installed then we had to tune the carbuerator until we got it right... I also mocked up the air conditioning brackets and compressor and ordered new lines and cannister from LMC.. hopefully this week i can finish the air conditioning and then start body work

Got the right side door and fender fitted on the 76, Lft side pitching me a fit. Oh ya I also customized the lft door after getting hung up in the air hose. That's what you get when you buy cheap stuff and are a klutz.....

Re: What did you get done July 24 edition

Spent Saturday in the house and in bed most of the day, Thursday and Friday's heat kicked my butt. Sunday I continued work on my 50, the wiring is almost complete (except the front lights). Still need to get the front clip on along with the doors and cab glass.

Here's a short video from last Saturday.......

Can't believe you crushed a BMW with the rare "oven" option.

Got the new Rally wheels and tires on the 75 finally, looks soo much better now! Also helped a friend put the interior back in his 66 LeMans, and had a night out with the wife and a bunch of friends (kid free!). Good weekend all in all.

I painted my tailgate yesterday...finally. Also got the bed all straightened out and aligned with the cab. Definitly not good when you have to put shims between the frame and bed to make it level...

not much on the truck... got it back down and on all fours... just gotta get the clearance done, ie inner fenders and c notch.. also went down to clay cup... not that bad, those 600's are sure competitive... still rather race a 1200 though. lol.
