454 implant
want to put a 75 454 in my 79 4wheel. anyone have a pic of what the towers and mounts should look like. have to change both when going from small block to big block? any help appreciated. thanx, rich

As long as you have the mounts on the block of the 454 you are set, the mounts on the frame are the same.

The only problem I had when I put a 454 in place of a sb400 was I had to use a short bowl fuel pump.I believe it was for a BB in a 70 malibu.The tall bowl hit the frame.

No problem. Everything is the same. Even the clam shell mounts that bolt to the motor.

It is a bolt in. But you will need the short fuel pump. I think I ordered one for a 70 corvette 454. It was the short one but it didn't have the return line but it worked fine. BB and SB engine mounts and frame mounts are the same.
