'88 Burb - What sensor is connected to the starter?
There is a wire running to the engine block just in front of where the starter is mounted. This sensor is wired to the starter. Which sensor is this?

Here is a pic...
I guess it is a sensor. I did notice that the wire was nicked: I wonder if someone sells a starter wiring harness. |

That is the knock sensor. It retards the timing if it senses detonation.

Yep x2. I would just wrap that wire unless its bad and splice it and crimp it up and call it good. Just need to make sure its not touching any metal with the bare wire.
