Vent window rebuild question

As my rebuild kit did not contain anything for the window glass I'm assuming that you use glass setting tape to put the vent glass back in its frame? Thanks guys! Hutch

you use that black gobbly goop stuff... some kinda sealer. I bought mine at a glass place... but auto parts place may have it in a tube.

goop it up, place glass in... clean excess... having a paint thinner type product handy is good for this... then, placing it in a position so that it can sit up and cure good is also key.

Thanks Woog! Wellllllll FYI when the tensioner nut on the bottom of the vent glass is hard to turn make sure not to twist the rod around like a pretzel! Had been soakin it in PB Blaster and everything felt it turning and wahlah one bent unusable vent window assembly! Well, on to the next project and back to the parts dude for yet another vent window assembly! "!@$$ it!

hmn... mine was broken and had to be re-welded on the bottom when I bought mine.
