My Steering Wheel Column Wont Seat Properly/Fully?
hey all, ive got the steering column thrown together, but ive got about a half inch or so to make up somewhere but i dont know where. it seems like the column is seated fully, ive knocked it with a hammer a number of times to make sure, but I dont know where the extra room is from....... ive attached some pics.... should i just fill the extra space with washers???? my bearing is in there and spring etc.

Yep, you are missing the lower spring. That will pull the column shaft down to where it belongs. We sell them (New GM) $6.95 each. WES
