GMC frame and Chevy frame
Is the 1972 gmc frame The same as the 1972 chevy frame? Thanks.

I think the gmc has leafs in the back or most i have seen where.

wondering if frame dimensions and mounts are the same. |

They could be built either way depending on if it was ordered. Regardless of the suspension type, the bodies, sheet-metal, & mounts are interchangeable.

I changed from leaf to coilover on my 71 GMC and it was a 1/2" wider in the rear than other CHEVYs I measured. Dont know if it was just mine or if its all of them. Didnt have another GMC around to take a measurement on it.
