Anyone used EXO accuair mount on 67-72?

I just ordered my accuair system and was curious if anyone has used the EXO Mount on our trucks. If so... where did you mount it? Any pics?

Even if you didnt go with the EXO mount... I would like to see how you installed the tank and compressor.

I'd be pretty curious to see that too. It takes up a fair amount of real estate.

lol just ordered mine but im a 77. you keeping a stock floor on yours or raising it? If raising you have pleanty of room under bed but it makes maintenence kinda a pain. Im in the same boat i dont know if i just want to mount mine in front of bed behind cab out in the open (i mean damn it was expensive and it looks pretty lol) or try to hide it under. Its funny all the air bag pics and nobody ever shows off their tank and compresor set ups.

I am not using this mount, but the one I will build is similar. Mine is going between the frame rails just in front of the rear bumper. My bed is raised 9" and everything will be mounted flush with the bottom edge of the frame. So it only sticks up about 5" from the frame, 3" from the underside of the bed.

Here's how I mounted my tank....added a back crossmember to mount it to.



The sport bumper was going to hide this unless you crawled on the ground to look


you can see how I flipped the outlets to the top here so it wouldn't hang down as far....and made brackets to add support for the tank...the brackets were to be trimmed down to a nicer shape later


compressors were to go on either side

Is your truck a longbed? I dont have near that amount of room in the back... esp with the tank in the back.

You may have to get creative with a single tank and trying to find room for the valve block and compressor.

I originally went with the single tank but returned it and went with two 3 gallons and mounted them to the frame on both sides of the truck.

I meant to come to your gathering the other weekend. I'll come to the next one. Let me know if you have any other questions about how to mount the various components of the system.

Its Boyd Welding... 7" in the lowest part up front near the axel and 5" in the rear near the bumper. They are offering a group buy for all of us. I wish I would have gottn in on this. Its an awesome tank.

I ordered the 5 gallon tank.... I have looked under my 68 and dont see how its possible to mount it. I guess I'll try to figure it out when I get it.

There has to be someone here with a SWB, relocated gas tank and a 5 gallon tank mounted under the frame.
