What are 602 heads?
I am having trouble finding any info on these heads. I don't know anything else about them except they are large port 602 heads. Anyone know anything about them?
Thanks.

Re: What are 602 heads?
Small block, big block, six banger? Do you have the entire casting number by chance?

Re: What are 602 heads?
Have to bare with me, the pain meds have me moving a little slower than usual. From what I've seen is the 602 is the part number for an off the shelf crate engine and there are various different vortec heads they came with. You'll need the full casting number off the heads to get much more than that.

Re: What are 602 heads?
Ok, I'll be pulling the valve covers eventually. I'll find the casting # then. I wish I had a better paper trail than what the PO gave.

This should shed some light. Go to the second page. http://www.crateenginedepot.com/pdfs...350%5B1%5D.pdf

Re: What are 602 heads?
That is interesting. I need some money so I have an excuse to replace the cheapo valve covers with something nicer and get the casting number.

Re: What are 602 heads?
IIRC, 602 are the last 3 digits of a smogger head, very prone to cracking, worse than 882's...
