6lug to 5 lug
Ok I have 6 lug disc and drop spindles on my 69 C-10. I am thinking of converting to 5x5. Just wondering what it takes to do this?
thanks |

Re: 6lug to 5 lug
Who made the spindles? if they are GM, then your just gonna need the spindles, calipers and rotors from a 5 lug truck.
There are plenty of 6 lug wheels out there especially from the GM group, why change to 5 on 5

If you used later model hubs to go to disc brakes, just go down to O'reileys and get new rotors and hubs (1 piece) if it was a stock conversion....only cost $32.00 plus the wheel studs. reuse the old wheel bearings if they are good. you are now converted to 5 X 5. In the rear end I just had the axle hubs redrilled to the 5 x 5..... I actually did the conversion to 5 x 5 and found out the wheels I had purchased were 5.x 4.75 had to convert and redrill but it did turn out worthwhile. Kieth |

Re: 6lug to 5 lug
I am not sure about what brand they are. PO put them on and I dont see any markings. I was hoping to go to the local parts store and pick up what I need.
thanks Brad |
